Frans & Kapma Foundation
2014

The local press pays generous attention to the exhibition and both on radio and tv art editor Peter Schoof dedicates part of his program OverUITdEkUNST on RTVOost to 'Human Beings'.
In November 2013 a team of TV Gelderland is looking around for two and half hours in our home recording for the program Gelderse Koppen led by presenter Harm Edens.

In April the Frans & Kapma Foundation is appointed as PARTNER for the benefit of the Culture and Heritage 2013-2016 policy of the Province of Gelderland. Furthermore we are recognized in the TOP 100 of Dutch art collectors by the Art Week Foundation. In short, for us 2013 is an exciting year (look also under 'News'), but it is also – despite far-reaching cutbacks by the Government – a record year for the Dutch museum art sector: never before so many museums reopened in one year after an extensive renovation and expansion, including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden, the Museum Quarter in 's-Hertogenbosch, Museum 'De Fundatie' in Zwolle and Museum Kranenburg in Bergen (NH). Shortly before also the doors of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Drents Museum in Assen reopened. These reopenings are significantly expanded opportunities for exhibiting paintings and that’s a wonderful thing!

However, numerous exhibition appropriate and with passion made paintings of (deceased) artists or foundation of artists deserve a place in society, but unfortunately waste away in basements or attics. In 2014 we want to continue to look for opportunities to bring many ‘forgotten artworks’ to the attention of a wide audience.
