Jacques Krebbekx (1946)

This impressive canvas was exhibited during the opening of Dr. K. Frans & Partners consultancy in Heerlen. The artwork radiates a certain peacefulness, but also give a feeling of tension because the world is turned upside down. Jacques gave the following comments about his work: "the female figure has been positioned in such a way that it is unclear whether she is sitting, laying down or falling. The shapes are fixed, but the composition is floating. The left shape and chair portray the famous 'chaise longue' by Le Corbusier, a chair in which one half sits and half lies".

Jacques Krebbekx passed the academy for art teachers in Tilburg. He lives and worked in Weert. The reason we say worked instead of works is that he had to give up painting due to a paint allergy. Jacques has had exhibitions in Holland as well as abroad and has even received the 'Prix de Jardin des Mode' in Paris.

In the meantime his daughter Judith Krebbekx, infected with the creativity genes of her father, has made a name as an artist. She graduated from the Rietveld Academy and State Academy of visual arts in Amsterdam. She has had exhibitions in galleries and museums at home and abroad. Her work is acquired by museums and Collectors.
