Love, melancholy, longing, delight, passion and emotion, the music of the klezmer band Di Mechaje touches ones soul. Clarinet, violin, double bass and accordion howled and cheered in the intimate atmosphere of the ancient monument, which is called 'sugar cubes bowl' by the inhabitants of the village, because of its octagonal shape.

The concert is accompanied by a dual exhibition: handsome watercolours in friendly, natural colours of Ap Dekkers, who deceased in 2007 and big oil paintings in an emotional colouring of Ida Roekevisch. Music as a sounding board for paintings, paintings as expressive chamber music.

The organization - in the hands of the Frans & Kapma Foundation in collaboration with painter and board member Ida Roekevisch - looks back contented because of the many enthusiastic reactions from visitors and thinks about a sequel. . .
